Entrepreneurship can happen anywhere

In rural communities, the presence of tech entrepreneurship can transform the local economy. We work with rural community leaders to design and build local programs and resources that support scalable tech startups and innovative ideas. Whether a community already has a thriving local angel fund, or is interested in figuring out how to launch their first startup pitch event or accelerator program, we meet our partners where their community is on its entrepreneurial journey. Through these efforts, our clients retain talent, jobs, and wealth in their small towns.

For this work to be equitable and inclusive, we make sure our programs are available and accessible to a wide spectrum of both seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs from all lived experiences and identities.

How we work with communities

Incubator space and innovation hub feasibility studies

In small towns and rural communities, incubators and innovation hubs can bolster regional economic development by increasing the success rate of emerging startups. We support our partners by assessing the feasibility of local incubator spaces and, based on the study’s findings, provide consultation services on the incubator’s future use. This work can include:

  • Visioning and alignment on use of the space
  • Local needs assessment and strategy
  • Custom project development

Program design and implementation support

We partner with rural community leaders to design and implement programs that support rural tech entrepreneurship. These align with the local community’s needs and can be iterated on and facilitated by our partners as local needs and priorities evolve. This work can include:

  • Creating ideation workshops and startup sprints
  • Developing tech startup incubator and accelerator programs
  • Leading entrepreneurship workshops for partners

Entrepreneurship strategy and training

We enable our partners to operate programs and events for entrepreneurs through custom workshops, live-model program facilitation, and toolkits. This supports the sustainability of our programs and encourages our partners and their organizations to take an active role in the process. This work can include:

  • Workshops and training services
  • Program facilitation
  • Customized guides and playbooks
